Flickering shapes edged the small thunderpath. A bright flame on one side kept the cats at bay while twolegs murmured around them. The twolegs slithered around like snakes, eying eachother warily. The cats took notice and ran across the thunderpath, trying to dodge the twolegs who threw transparent things with foul tasting liquids. A small gray she-cat's belly swayed underneath her. It was very apparent she was close to her kitting.
"Where can we go?" A tawny colored tom murmured to a larger black tom with white whiskers.
"To the trees, its our only choice," The black tom grunted back, helping the brown she-cat over a bump in the path.
