Cat Of the Week

Darkeyes (newest)
Darkeyes is a Treeclan elder. She is the youngest elder, she retired young when she was clawed by a badger that destroyed her eyes. She was defending a young apprentice who was burying prey the ground. The apprentice died and she was severely wounded. She was saved by Badgerheart, her son, while he was patrolling the treetops.
Darkeyes used to be known as Stripetail, and she had beautiful leaf green eyes. Her mate was the now deceased Fangheart, they had two kits, Badgerheart and Beechnut. She is known as very gritty and bold. She doesn't accept help easily and denies needing help even when climbing through the camp trees. She does not enjoy the company of her denmate, Cloudstorm, as he is much older than her. She has superb hearing and can sneak up on mice. With the loss of her sight, she now enjoys walking on solid ground as it is less dangerous.
Oakstar (older)
Oakstar is the leader of Treeclan, the son of Wildleap and Adderfire. He is known for being noble and kind, and maybe a little too cautious, but that is only because his beloved brother, Cedarleap, fell from a tree and broke his spine. He is very strong and hard to beat in battle, he can jump from great distances, but doesn't teach his apprentices how for fear they might fall. He was the deputy of Larchstar, who died eight seasons ago.
His warrior name was Oakwhisker, suggested by Larchstar, then Larchforest the deputy of Applestar. He attained his warrior status by warning the clan of a fire and helping the elders and kits out of camp. He has a large scar on the right side of his body, from flank to shoulder, from a badger attack.
His mate, Vixentail, is unable to have kits. He spends his time with the warriors in the Warrior tree, which is the tallest of the three trees where the camp is. He has three close friends throughout the camp, Hawkwing, Cloudstorm, and Rabbittuft.
His mentor's name was Midnightshine, a coy tabby she-cat who taught him to leap the way he does, by gathering his haunches under him and extendning them to full length, a feat which most cats can't do.
His nine lives were given to him by:

  1. Wildleap. His mother gave him kindness in times of need.
  2. Wingflight. This was an elder who died in the fire. She gave him attentiveness to look out for things unseen by all others.
  3. Midnightshine. His mentor gave him courage to leap for things most needed by his clan.
  4. Adderfire. His father gave him strength to defeat all opponents in battle.
  5. Wolfdapple. A queen who died of greencough gave him the love of a queen to her kitten.
  6. Cedarleap. His brother gave him spontaneity to jump through the fog in your mind.
  7. Firepaw. The young apprentice who died in the fire gave him optimism.
  8. Graymuzzle. His first true love who died from a mysterious sickness gave him acceptance, showing she approved his new choice of mate.
  9. Larchstar. His leader gave him internal motivation, that even when things look bleak, you must look inside yourself to protect your clan.
His past apprentices were Badgerheart and Leopardsplash.
